Studio Frick is a boutique interior design studio based in Amsterdam established by Friso Bootsma and Nick Mullin. Both have a track record in various creative fields like marketing, fashion and interior design.

The Design process and fees structure
Step 1. The intake
During the intake we’ll get to know the client better and understand their aesthetic wants and interior design needs. With all this information we can start our creative process and the next step is to come up with and present a clear design.
The intake is free of charge.
Step 2. The design and presentation
With the information from the intake we will start to develop a creative direction for the design that fits the needs. We will present the final design in person and we can discuss possible amendments that can be made. The design includes:
The presentation in person and in PDF
Moodboards
Furniture and lighting plans
Material specifications (Fabric, paint etc.)
Styling design
Budget overview
Possible amendments according to the presentation.
We charge an initial design fee of 1250,- euro per room (max. 100m2)
Step 3. Design execution
When the design and budget is approved we will coordinate and order all the materials. We strive to deliver all goods at the same time so we can install and style the room in one go.
Delivery times
Because we work with several suppliers, the delivery times can differ between brands. We will always communicate the expected delivery dates to the client. But for most furniture please take 10 weeks into account.
Payment conditions
When the design is approved by the client, we will send a first invoice for 70%, so we can start ordering the furniture, fabrics, accessories etc. The other 30% will be invoiced after delivery.
10% Purchase commision
We are official resellers of an extensive range of leading suppliers of furniture, fabric and accessories. However there are projects that require brands and products that are unavailable to us as a reseller to a client. These products also include vintage and antique items. For these items we will charge a 10% purchase commission.
Basic hourly fee:
This fee will only be charged after consultation with the client. The fee is applicable for the following activities:
Showroom visits
Intermediate design consultations
Construction management
Personal shopping
We charge an hourly fee of 85,- euro (ex. Travel costs of 0.21 euro cent per kilometer)
